Job Description

As one of the UK’s largest Co-operative societies our colleagues are the key to our success, which is why we want the very best people as part of our team.

Are you a natural leader and know how to get the best out of people?

Are you passionate about creating inspiring and engaging online learning?

Would you like to work for a business that is built on strong ethics and values?

About the role

We are looking to create a temporary L&D Retail Transformation Team to support the Transformation programmes currently underway in the Society. In this role, you'll manage the design, development and delivery of a blended range of learning solutions for our Retail Transformation Programme. Inspiring and motivating your temporary team of Learning & Development Facilitators, you'll ensure that our L&D offering meets the Programme needs, bringing in new ideas and ways of working.

You will play a key part in the day to day development, implementation and maintenance of both face to face and e-learning solutions via the LMS (Learning Management System), developing on-going processes for evaluating the effectiveness of learning and ensuring that all activity is delivered in line with agreed timescales and budgets.

As a key member of the HR Shared Service leadership team you will support in the development of the HR Administrators to ensure that learning activities are published accurately on the LMS and are available for key stakeholders. You will also be producing data to support future initiatives and ensuring that all learning material is up to date with any legislative or regulatory changes.

Customer focus and stakeholder management is really important in this role, working collaboratively with HR Business Partners and Programme management. Working closely with the Leadership and Learning Manager and Learning Services Team, you will develop and deliver the L&D offering for the Retail Transformation Programme, and fully understand and implement learning interventions which meet business requirements and objectives.

About you

A natural leader, you'll know how to get the best out of others, motivating and coaching your team to achieve more. We're looking for someone with a background in design and delivery of learning solutions, who has an interest in the latest training developments and has a hunger to embrace new technologies.

Ideally you'll have a CIPD (or equivalent) certificate in L&D, but what's more important is your ability to translate a Transformation Programme / L&D strategy into an L&D offering. Experience of using authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline would be ideal, however this isn't essential.

Candidates already working for the Society may not have the full L&D experience but must be able to demonstrate and evidence examples of coaching and developing others, with strong communication, influencing and planning skills.
