Job Description

As one of the UK’s largest Co-operative societies our colleagues are the key to our success, which is why we want the very best people as part of our team.

Are you a natural leader and know how to get the best out of people and would like to work for a business that is built on strong ethics and values?

Are you passionate and curious about how emerging technology can support the creation and inspiration for on line and other methods?

Do you have experience of developing learning to support a regulated environment?

About the role

In this role, you'll manage the design, development and delivery of a blended range of learning solutions. Inspiring and motivating your team of Learning Facilitators, you'll ensure that our L&D offering meets the business needs, bringing in new ideas, new technologies and ways of working.

You will play a key part in the day to day development, implementation and maintenance of our e-learning solutions via the LMS (Learning Management System), developing on-going processes for evaluating the effectiveness of learning and ensuring that all activity is delivered in line with agreed timescales and budgets.

As a key member of the HR Shared Service leadership team you will support in the development of the HR Administrators to ensure that learning activities are published accurately on the LMS and are available for key stakeholders. You will also be producing data to support and inform future initiatives and ensuring that all learning material is up to date with any legislative or regulatory changes.

Customer focus and stakeholder management is really important in this role, working collaboratively with HR Business Partners and key operational management. Working closely with the Leadership and Learning Manager you will develop and deliver the L&D offering for the Society and fully understand and implement learning interventions which meet business requirements and objectives.

About you

A natural leader, you'll know how to get the best out of others, motivating and coaching your team to achieve more. A background in design and delivery of learning solutions is essential, as is an interest in the latest training developments and a hunger to embrace new technologies, whilst fostering this curiosity with the team.

Ideally you'll have a CIPD (or equivalent) certificate in L&D, but what's more important is your ability to translate an L&D strategy into an L&D offering. Experience of relationship management with a range of third party providers would be ideal as would experience of using authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, however this isn't essential.

In Return

As a Central England Co-operative colleague you will enjoy a wide range of benefits, including Society Membership, colleague discount on purchases, pension and health scheme.

At Central England Co-operative Society we are all individual, like you. We value your individuality and welcome applications from all members of society regardless of personal characteristics.
