About the role
Are you Marketing expert with at least 5 years' experience, who truly understands what customers want? We are currently looking for two talented Brand Business Partners to support the design and improvement of all customer facing propositions across Retail and Funeral.
Brand Business Partner Retail
We are looking for an individual who has a creative flair and a passion for food Retail. You will be the voice of the customer in everything we do in our 262 food stores, working with our Design agency and in-house studio to perfect the look and feel of our stores, liaising with our Commercial teams over which products we sell, and how we merchandise them, drawing insight on how to improve the current customer experience and working with other members of the Marketing team in how we communicate and inspire customers at every touchpoint on their journey. You will be stimulated by all the latest trends in Retail; food and other categories, in the potential of technology to delight customers and critical in your thinking in how the huge, lasting changes in our society impact local customers' community shops.
Brand Business Partner Funeral
Funerals as an industry is undergoing root and branch changes. New regulations demand the highest and most transparent standards in how we operate and communicate with families. More than this, however are changes to how people wish to celebrate the life of a loved one; families are increasingly asking for much higher personalisation, more ability to create memorial products to remember their loved one and higher degrees of sustainability from the funeral provider. This work can be intensely emotionally satisfying as we deliver meaningful moments to families at the time when they need us most. You will have the ability to think critically, possess a high degree of emotional intelligence, creativity and empathy and be experienced in all elements of building differentiated propositions.
Support the Customer Proposition Manager in the development or improvement of Brand Propositions.
Monitor and make suggestions on how to improve the manifestation of the Central England Co-operative Brand in all customer touchpoints.
Execute fully-formed customer propositions that deliver this strategy against our current business model, and any future models, as determined by, or in partnership with Business Development, and in conjunction with the Operational and Commercial teams, as well as the Channel and Content teams within the Brand function.
Proactively come up with viable solutions to ensure the Central England Co-operative Point of Difference, from a Campaigning or Brand Reputation point of view, is lived and breathed throughout each proposition; to the Coop Group, to other societies and to competitors.
Work closely with Brand Insight and Data and Analytics Retail and Funeral to understand customers changing needs and make recommendations to the Customer Proposition Manager to adapt current propositions accordingly.
Work closely with Commercial (Retail) and Pricing and Product (Funeral) to identify any range or category to bring the proposition to life.
Design Communication Briefs to pass to the Channel and Content Manager for her to fulfil the Communication Proposition in line with the Overall Customer Proposition for Hub and Hygiene content.
Work closely with the other Brand Business Partner to ensure the overall Central England Co-operative proposition remains consistent across all businesses.
Qualified to degree level or equivalent with an expertise in Communications, PR or Marketing
Must have a very high standard of verbal and written English, with proven success of stakeholder management
Agency Management experience
Proven Loyalty / Membership Scheme Management or involvement
Experience within Food retail and Funeral experience would be an advantage, but not essentialApply Now
