The Funeral Service Assistant (FSA), employed to work on a permanent long night hour shift pattern. Due to the nature of this role, you will not work all night, but instead be available between the hours of 9.00 pm to 9.00am (4 days on and then 4 days off) to be called out to facilitate the removal of the deceased. For this, in addition to your standard rate of pay, you will receive an extra payment every time you are called out.
The key accountabilities of this role are:
First point of contact in establishing the relationship with the bereaved and the Society
Delivering care to our client families and their loved ones
Ensuring that the highest standards of service excellence is provided at all times as well as maintaining the care and respect for the deceased at all times
You will take pride in your appearance, act with empathy, compassion and professionalism at all times.
You will be required to work without supervision and you should be able to prioritise your workload.
