About the role

As an experienced Infrastructure Architect, you will be responsible for the overall Infrastructure Architecture within the IT department and to own the alignment of the Infrastructure Architecture with the Business and Technology Strategies. Reporting into the Head of IT Architecture, you will play a key part in architectural design and technology platform choices working on end to end project delivery.

You will be

Driving and facilitating the right discussions with IT leaders to identify IT capabilities in relation to current and future business objectives

Creating and maintaining technology capability and inventories. Work with multiple capability and functional teams to gather and document the structure technology landscape

Partnering in the strategic planning process by providing input to the scope definition of strategic initiatives leveraging capabilities, creating capability Heatmaps to provide visibility to impacts, dependencies, overlaps and opportunities. Key Deliverables include (but not limited to): Capability Model, Capability Heatmaps, Capability Maturity Assessments, Capability Impact Assessments, Capability Health Assessments & Capability Roadmaps

Working closely with Head of IT Architecture and other leaders to develop architecture roadmaps

Contributes to policy for selection of infrastructure architecture components.

Evaluating and undertaking impact analysis on major design options and assesses and manages associated risks

Collaborating in providing an independent, unbiased view of the implications of technology scenarios within and across the enterprises

Providing a common language across domains

About you

You will have

Experience with designing complex infrastructure architecture in public cloud, primarily Microsoft Azure

Experience with web technologies and building enterprise architecture roadmaps

Experience designing, integrating and managing complex infrastructure solutions

Ability to provide technical system solutions, determine overall design direction and provide hardware recommendations for complex technical issues

Experience planning and developing support processes and adhering to best practices

A broad, enterprise-wide view of the business and varying degrees of appreciation for strategy, processes and capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance

The ability to recognize structural issues within the organization, functional interdependencies and cross-silo redundancies

The ability to apply architectural principles to solutions

The ability to visualize and create high-level models that can be used in future analysis

Experience modelling business processes using a variety of tools and techniques

Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communications as well as visualizations

Team player able to work effectively at all levels of an organization with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus

Strong situational analysis and decision-making abilities
