About the role
We are looking for an experienced Domain Architect who will beaccountable for maintenance and execution of the technical roadmap, delivering technical capability enhancements to support evolving business need and efficient decommissioning of legacy tools. Reporting to the Head of IT Architecture, you will need to develop a solid understanding of the business objectives and target architecture and will be responsible for definition and prioritisation of roadmap work packages to optimise business outcomes and enhancement of the technology landscape. You will work closely with strategic delivery partners, business stakeholders, programme delivery teams and the architecture community to drive the execution of the technical strategy.
You will be
Driving and facilitating the right discussions with business leaders to identify business capabilities in relation to current and future business objectives
Creating and maintaining business capability, data, process and technology inventories. Work with multiple capability and functional teams to gather and document the structure of the business and technology landscape
Leading, building, managing, and enhancing business capability model along maturity / optimisation framework to drive enablement of the longer-term roadmap
Working closely with Head of IT Architecture and other leaders to develop domain roadmaps
Presenting recommendations and solutions clearly and concisely and is able to focus on key points to portray the intended message or purpose
Advocating and driving adoption of "best practices" to ensure standardisation of business architecture outputs across the enterprise
A 'business thinker' and highly strategic in order to define practical solutions that align with corporate strategy
Effectively managing priorities, deliverables and timelines
Providing a common language across domains
You will have
A broad, enterprise-wide view of the business and varying degrees of appreciation for strategy, processes and capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance
The ability to recognize structural issues within the organization, functional interdependencies and cross-silo redundancies
The ability to apply architectural principles to business solutions
The ability to visualize and create high-level models that can be used in future analysis to extend and mature the business architecture
Extensive experience planning and deploying both business and IT initiatives
Experience modelling business processes using a variety of tools and techniques
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communications as well as visualizations
Team player able to work effectively at all levels of an organization with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus
