We are offering someone with the right attitude and desire a chance to start their career as Customer Service Assistant and become a Retail Team Leader within the next 12 months, whilst gaining a nationally recognised qualification.
Right from the start, we'll provide you with structured programme with excellent training. Alongside your role, you will be given time and support to study towards an Apprenticeship Qualification with one of our training partners.
As part of your Apprenticeship, we'll also train you to be able to provide duty manager cover and develop you into the role of Team Leader, giving the best platform to progress your career.
Whilst you are completing your 12 months programme we'll support you in looking at your next opportunity as a Team Leader in store. How far you wish to progress after this is largely down to your commitment, drive and passion for wanting to succeed. In the unlikely event that you do not complete your Apprenticeship, you will have the opportunity to continue your career with us as a Customer Service Assistant.
What you will be doing:
As a Retail Team Leader Apprentice, you'll provide an essential part of the store's frontline service delivering the highest standards of care to our customers within the local community. Working as part of a multi skilled team, the role is varied and could include working on checkouts, putting out stock, ensuring the store looks inviting, date code checking, temperature checking, administration, or even working in the in-store bakery.
In addition to your role you will be trained to provide duty management cover and being responsible for leading a team of Customer Service Assistants, ensuring the delivery of great customer service, presentation and availability standards
Our programme helps grow future talent for our society so getting the best Apprentices on board is really important to us.
We understand you may not have previous experience. What's more important to us is that you can demonstrate:
A desire to help and support others with a friendly, polite and supportive attitude
The motivation and commitment to develop new skills and progress your career
The dedication to complete your Apprenticeship programme - you'll have to be organised and self-motivated
To start our Apprenticeship, you will need 5 GCSE's A-C (4-9), or equivalent, including Maths and English Language, be at least 18 years old, not already be in full or part time education and not undertaken a Team Leading apprenticeship before.
