We are offering the right candidate a chance to contribute to gain experience across a wide range of finance functions in our diverse business, whilst gaining a nationally recognised qualification.
As an apprentice on our programme you will have the opportunity to spend 3 months in each of the teams, including Invoice Processing, Payments and Controls, Credit Control, Funeral Bonds, Finance Master Data, Banking, Accounts Receivable and Record to Report.
Throughout your apprenticeship you will be assigned a mentor to support you with your personal development and your course tutor who will offer you whatever support you need to be successful.
What you will be doing:
Day to day operation financial admin support across all areas of the Finance Shared Services department, as part of providing a world class standard transactional operation.
Completion of relevant Finance apprenticeship standard relevant to your role
Working towards individual goals and objectives which are aligned to those of Finance Shared Services, the wider Shared Services functions and the Society as a whole
Regular communication with key internal customers
Delivery of all services within service levels agreed with the business
Escalation of business critical issues to Team Lead
Support other colleagues in the delivery of their work as well as contributing to the continuous improvement of processes.
A team Player with a strong customer service focus & problem solving skills
Ability to use own initiative
Adaptable and flexible approach
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail , with an ability to plan and organise work
Whilst a permanent role cannot be guaranteed at this stage, there may be opportunities beyond the initial 18 months This will be assessed throughout the programme.
Applicants need to have 5 GCSE grade C or above in English and Maths. A level 2 AAT qualification would be an advantage.
Upon completion, you will receive a Level 3 AAT Qualification.Apply Now
