About the role

Reporting into the Business Development Director, the Financial Controller Business Development will be a pivotal role in the Business Development leadership team helping the Society to win, negotiate and execute future new business projects

You will

Lead on commercial and financial evaluation of business development opportunities ensuring a strong financial framework is in place to support effective assessment, implementation and risk management of the Society's strategic developments

Lead from a finance perspective on new major investment opportunities, these may include joint ventures, regeneration schemes, strategic partnerships or other growth routes

Act as the Businesses Development liaison point with the Finance function and will influence and inform society strategic

planning with accountability for financial planning for all Society change over a short mid and long-term horizon.

The successful candidate will bring experience of end to end business transformation

A fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA Professional

Proven ability to influence at Executive at Board Levels

Experience in leading commercial assessment activity

Previous experience of providing financial and accountancy support to change projects and programmes

A clear communicator, with excellent personal and written skills

Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and undertake a high support and high challenge approach

Ability to challenge, negotiate and influence across all levels of the business
