About the role
As Reward and Performance Manager for Central England Co-operative, you will help us to attract and retain the best talent by making sure we offer a competitive proposition that rewards our colleagues and provides everyone with the benefits they deserve for doing a brilliant job. Supporting our Head of Talent, you will make a big impact on our Society by defining, delivering and continually reviewing our reward and performance management strategies.
What you'll be doing:
Set and manage the reward and benefits parameters and strategy for the organisation, ensuring it supports the overall business objectives.
Set and communicate the annual performance management timetable and plan
Develop and implement effective and fit for purpose performance management documentation and tools
Define and communicate performance ratings, providing a clear understanding of the criteria to be met for each
Identify and deliver tools and resources to ensure managers are competent and confident in managing performance
Undertake research and benchmarking into market related reward to inform and shape the reward strategy
Conduct external benchmarking of reward and benefits for new or specialist roles to enable HR stakeholders to make appropriate recommendations to the business
Define and implement and performance related pay elements, ensuring that processes are fair, consistent and supported by objective evidence
You will hold a CIPD or similar relevant professional qualification. With the confidence to build strong working relationships with colleagues, suppliers and senior leaders, you will also manage external pension providers and make sure everyone fully understands the impact and implications of changes you make to our rewards package.
Influential and inspirational you must have a proven track record of creating contemporary Reward strategies in a fast moving commercial environment. You should also be passionate about reward and have a good understanding of modern policies and the clear link between reward and performance. A confident communicator you will ideally also need to be skilled at administering pension schemes and managing service providers.
